About Jane Drager
Jane Drager loves to write. In every job, she was the go-to person to put something into words, whether it be a handout pamphlet, a magazine article, or case study. She grew up in South Philadelphia with a strong mother who supported Jane and her older sister through some pretty tough times. Throughout, Jane wrote. Every non-fiction piece was published, but for years, she struggled to get a fiction story published. Publishers wouldn’t consider her work unless she had an agent. Agents wouldn’t consider her work unless she was published. The situation was ridiculous and frustrating. Lo and behold, the internet exploded and with it came the birth of ebooks and independent publishers. Jane became part of The Wild Rose Press, and to this day, still publishes with them. She’s growing a backlist of books and sees no end in sight because her mind is full of stories.
Creating characters has always been a fun part of writing. She incorporates her mysteries with a touch of romance and always keeps her heroines strong-willed and independent. None of the wimpy cry-on-the-spot women. She focuses on the mystery that draws the two main characters together and avoids gory details. Let's face it. On every newscast, if it bleeds, it leads. You don't have to read about it, too.
